OSSIAN was formed around 1985 after bassist/singer Endre Paksi left legendary Hungarian heavy metal band POKOLGÉP. The group's first album, "Acélszív" (Heart Of Steel) came out in 1988, they opened for IRON MAIDEN, HELLOWEEN, U.D.O. etc. and eventually became the leading band on the Hungarian heavy metal scene. (Trivia: In the "Maiden England" video guitarist Adrian Smith can be seen wearing an OSSIAN t-shirt.)

Professional video footage of OSSIAN performing the song "Legyen miénk az élet" on November 15, 2005 at the sold-out Petofi Csarnok in Budapest, Hungary can be viewed below. This was the band's 20th anniversary show, later released on a DVD titled "Létünk a bizonyíték".
